The new Xbox Nano Controller landed earlier today, and it’s Xbox’s tiniest official gamepad yet!
Its compact design, measuring just over 5 inches (13cm) in length, makes it ideal for stashing in your pocket or bag and the perfect on-the-go cloud gaming companion. Weighing in at 3.5 ounces (99g), it’s lighter and shorter than most smartphones and a great choice for younger players or anyone with smaller hands.

This small but perfectly formed gamepad costs $49.99 compared to the $69.99 retail price for a standard Xbox controller. It comes with a rechargeable battery Xbox Wireless and Bluetooth support, plus a customizable action button that you can set to capture gameplay, snap screenshots, or a host of other handy functions of your choice.
Despite its tiny size, it retains all 18 standard Xbox gameplay inputs. However, it doesn’t look like a USB-C charging cable is included with the budget controller, so you’ll need to grab your own.

While you can of course use your new Nano controller with your console, Xbox is focusing on compatibility with other devices like smart TVs. To that end, it’s collaborating with Samsung to bundle the Xbox Nano Controller with two months of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate when you buy select Samsung TVs in the US (for new Game Pass subscribers only) this holidays season.
You can pre-order the Xbox Nano Controller today and it goes on sale starting November 4th in selected markets including the US and UK, bundled with two months of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate (For new US subscribers only).
