It’s looking to be a busy one for Xbox fans over the next week as we head into BlizzCon this weekend, and enjoy an Xbox showcase at Tokyo Game Show on the 17th of September.
The 5 day event will happen between September 17th – 21st, with companies like Microsoft, Capcom and more showing off gameplay for their latest titles.
What To Expect
Xbox is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, marking 20 years in Japan so they’re putting on something special, including a special broadcast, a show floor presence that includes Minecraft Dungeons II, and XBOX FanFest.
Xbox have given us a sneak peek what will be on the floor, including playable demos for:
- Minecraft Dungeons II: Following its debut at gamescom, Minecraft Dungeons II arrives for the first time at the Tokyo Game Show show floor, giving fans in Japan their first hands-on look at the next installment of co-op dungeon crawler. Drop the pickaxe, grab a sword, and charge into a new adventure in Minecraft Dungeons II, available to play day one with Game Pass on September 29, 2026.
- Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 arrives at the Tokyo Game Show show floor with our partner Happinet, giving fans in Japan an opportunity to experience the game’s highly anticipated Multiplayer ahead of its global launch on October 23, 2026. Visitors can jump into the action and get hands-on with this year’s blockbuster game. Fans can also find Call of Duty featured alongside other XBOX titles at XBOX FanFest Tokyo. Find us in Hall 6, 06-N4.
There isn’t much else in terms of what we could see at Xbox’s show but with recent news about Hideo Kojima’s new title being published by Xbox instead of PlayStation, we may get a look at PHYSINT next Thursday.
Other rumors include a possible shadow drop for Death Stranding 2: On The Beach.
