How to Turn Off the Modern Warfare 4 Background on Xbox

The Modern Warfare 4 Xbox background has appeared on some players’ dashboards after Xbox enabled its event-themed background setting by default. If you want to get your usual wallpaper back, you can switch this setting off in your console’s personalisation options.

The setting lets Xbox display backgrounds linked to special events. That can mean promotional artwork appears on your dashboard automatically, even if you had already chosen a different background.

To remove the Modern Warfare 4 artwork and stop event-themed backgrounds appearing, follow these steps:

1. Open Settings on your Xbox console.
2. Select General, then choose Personalisation.
3. Open My background.
4. Turn off Show event-themed backgrounds.
