Xbox has officially revealed the first wave of games coming to Xbox Game Pass in September 2026 and there is a total of eight titles joining the service between the 1st of September until the 15th.
The biggest addition is Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War which arrives across Console, PC and Cloud on the 8th of September. The other highlights include the day-one releases of Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault (Finally on Console), SpeedRunners 2: King of Speed and RuneScape: Dragonwilds.
Here is the full Xbox Game Pass lineup for the first half of September:

Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members will also be able to access a free 10-hour trial of NHL 27 beginning on the 4th of September. Meanwhile, TCG Card Shop Simulator will also receive its full 1.0 release 15th of September and that promises a ton of content for New and Existing Players to delve into.
Although Moonlighter 2 was missing from the latest Xbox Wire announcement, the game is still expected to launch into Xbox Game Pass on the 2nd of September but I assume it was missed due to it already being available for Ultimate & PC members via PC Game Preview.
This new wave arrives alongside another significant update to the service as 11 games are scheduled to leave Xbox Game Pass during the first half of September. There are some huge games leaving including the likes of Cyberpunk 2077, Commandos Origins and Dead Cells. If you want to check the full list of games leaving, you can find it HERE.
