Two New Xbox Game Pass Games Arrive Today!

It has been an incredibly busy week for Xbox Game Pass with subscribers receiving a fresh addition on almost every day. Xbox is now rounding things off with two more day-one releases arriving today, July 17.

The latest new Xbox Game Pass games are FixForce and Fogpiercer. However, while FixForce is available across Xbox Series X|S, PC and Xbox Cloud Gaming, Fogpiercer is currently limited to PC players.

Here is everything you need to know about both additions.

Both games are launching into Xbox Game Pass on their release day, bringing the latest wave of July additions to a close. Their platforms and membership availability have also been confirmed through the official Xbox Game Pass announcement.

FixForce is a chaotic co-op extraction platformer in which you play as a maintenance robot sent to repair machinery across a colourful post-apocalyptic world.

Humans may have disappeared, but there is apparently still plenty of work to be done. After travelling to each worksite in your utility van, you must hunt for replacement parts and use your drill-wrench arm to repair a collection of unusual machines and beacons.

Finding those parts will not always be straightforward. Players can collect pieces of scrap and use them to construct towers, pathways and other makeshift structures. These creations allow your team to climb higher, cross large gaps and reach previously inaccessible sections of the environment.

FixForce supports solo play alongside online co-op for up to six players. The physics-based movement and ability to launch your teammates should create plenty of unpredictable moments, especially when an otherwise straightforward repair job begins to fall apart.

Early player feedback for FixForce on Steam has also been encouraging, although the number of submitted reviews remains relatively small at the time of writing.

The second new Game Pass release is Fogpiercer, a sci-fi roguelite that combines deckbuilding with turn-based tactical combat.

A deadly fog has engulfed the world, leaving you to assemble an armed train and guide its passengers through a wasteland filled with hostile bandits. Your chosen locomotive, carriages and drivers determine the cards included in your starting deck, making the construction of your train an important part of every run.

Battles take place across grid-based environments where positioning can be just as important as firepower. Players can trigger explosive chain reactions, manipulate enemies and use the surrounding environment to gain an advantage.

Additional carriages and upgrades can be collected as you travel through the fog, opening new tactical options and powerful combinations. With more than 170 cards available, there should be plenty of room to experiment with different train builds and strategies.

Fogpiercer is only included with PC Game Pass and Game Pass Ultimate at launch. The game is scheduled to unlock later today, so it may not immediately appear as playable for UK subscribers.

These two games follow the arrival of Mavrix by Matt Jones, which joined Xbox Game Pass on July 16.

Mavrix is an open-world downhill biking game designed with professional Red Bull athlete Matt Jones. Players can freely explore its large multiplayer world, compete against other riders, customise their appearance and build a professional biking career.

It is available across Xbox Series X|S, PC, cloud and supported handheld devices through Game Pass Ultimate, Premium and PC Game Pass.

With FixForce, Fogpiercer and Mavrix all joining across two consecutive days, Xbox Game Pass subscribers have three very different games to try this weekend.
