Microsoft has revealed the next wave of Xbox Game Pass August 2026 additions, with 10 games joining the service between August 18th and September 1st.
The headline release is Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy, which arrives for Xbox Series X|S, PC and cloud on August 27th. It joins Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass on day one, while several existing games will also become available to Premium members throughout the remainder of the month.
The lineup covers everything from challenging platformers and stylish roguelikes to cosy life simulators and major narrative adventures.

- Blood Dungeon — Xbox Series X|S, PC and cloud — Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass
- Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy — Xbox Series X|S, PC and cloud — Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass
- Young Suns — Console, PC and cloud — New to Game Pass Premium
- Shelldiver — Console, PC and cloud — Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass and Game Pass Premium
The biggest game in this Xbox Game Pass wave arrives on August 27th is Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy and this is a prequel set 15 years before the events of A Plague Tale: Requiem and follows Sophia on a journey connected to the mysterious Minotaur’s Island.
The new adventure retains the series’ focus on atmosphere, puzzles and storytelling but introduces a more direct and dynamic combat system. It will be available through Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass from launch with support for Xbox Play Anywhere.

Microsoft has also confirmed that five games will leave Xbox Game Pass later in August.

If you are currently playing any of the departing titles, it is worth checking how much time you have left before access is removed. Xbox Game Pass subscribers can usually purchase outgoing games at a discount while they remain available through the service.
