By Olivia Davies After a long and anticipated wait, fans in Australia and New Zealand will now be able to enjoy Valorant on Xbox.
All the way back in 2024, the game’s official social media commented that they wouldn’t be releasing the game to all regions:
We want everyone to experience VALORANT the way it’s meant to be experienced, which means it’s not currently available in regions where we’re not yet confident we’ll have healthy queues and matchmaking.
It was Riot’s first live service game, so they said they wanted to get it right and allow players to ‘able to play and experience the game at the high quality bar we set’.
At console launch only the United States and Canada, Europe, Japan, and Brazil were available but now after a long 2 years, the beloved FPS stretches to the folks down under!
Valorant launches on Xbox Series X/S in Australia and New Zealand on September 23rd.
